Motor Flash Physics: demo scenes
November 18, 2006 on 12:18 pm | In Actionscript, Physics | 5 CommentsTo keep you posted about the motor development, here are some more (fairly simple) demo scenes. I am still unhappy with the overall performance, because there is neither a quick boundary check nor some kind of space partitioning here. But that’s exactly what I am working on right now. My favorite is the buoyancy demo, and there will be a much more realistic version with wave propagation soon.
(All demos open in a popup window and require the newest Flash Player)
I just noticed that you cannot skip the animated logo at the beginning of each demo..this was not intended (it seems like brainwashing now ;-))

That’s some neat physics! The logo is no problem! Looks actually cool! I just wonder if there is user interaction in the demos. If so,I cannot drag anything with the mouse though.

user interaction is on my todo list and will be implemented in the next release :-) so basically it attaches a spring socket constraint to a an edge or vertex of an object.

Looks great! The buoyancy is my favorite too. I’m looking forward to seeing the waves and mouse interaction.
