Motor Physics goes Open Source

October 2, 2007 on 9:30 pm | In Actionscript, Physics | 37 Comments

I’m pleased to announce that my 2D physics engine will be released as Open Source under the zlib/libpng license at the end of this year.
Till then the code definitely needs some refactoring and clean up for better readability. But as it’s optimized so much don’t expect beautiful code :) Stay tuned!

  18. Dear The Flash Troll.

It’s not your time, your website, your engine, your money, your project, your idea or your investment. If the author of this engine wishes to issue a release date, he can do that. If you don’t want to use the engine, great, if you want to continue trolling go sodomize yourself with a broom.

I for one am eagerly waiting for the Motor Engine to come out.

  33. DUDE ! 10 days to go ? Right ?

I got this question: how different is the API gonna be from Box2D, cos i’m kinda writing an wrapper on top of Box2D, to be able to switch to Motor, and i’m kinda curious…

Like maybe some API spoilers, before release ?
